Exercise and eating right is the best beauty treatment. as they say, “the face you have in your ’20′s is the face you were born with; the face you have in your ’40′s is the one you deserve.” Eat right, get 8 hours of sleep, no smoking, minimal alcohol.

  10. Lostie2010 says:

Thanks for such an interesting and informative video, very helpful… more on nutrition please :-)

Love love love it! ;) I’m also very passionate about nutrition and have been studying it on my own for over 2 decades. ;) Favorite books have been Primal Body Primal Mind (Nora Gedgaudas) and the Metabolic Typing Diet (William Wolcott and Trish Fahey). Much of what you said is also what these books teach. Of all 3 macronutrients, carbs (grains, starches) are needed the least. I consume lots of organic dark green veggies, coconut oil, eggs and grass-fed meat and avoid all soy and grains.

  12. ArmillaCity says:

Another question: What about caloric restriction and longevity. That is very well documented in all animal and people. Also, I remember a study where they fed mice unlimited amounts of either carbs, fats or proteins. The mice with the protein diet died earliest, and surprisingly, not the fat or carb groups. I have not been following these studies closely lately, so you might known more. (My background was molecular biology, evolution, infectious diseases, though not practicing now).

  13. ArmillaCity says:

Working through your videos this week. This talk is fun. I am 47 and has always been very skinny, but eat a decent amount. I have a couple of items of clothes from when I was 18 I can still wear. I eat EVERYTHING, but I like healthy stuff. Not crazy about carbs, but eat WAY more than you. My goal in life seems to be to gain weight, it is nearly impossible, regardless of diet, but I can easily loose weight.–when I don’t eat properly or when I get the flu. What would you recommend for me?

  14. reinamarie614 says:

I ablsolutely LOVE your views on nutrition…I totally agree, and have been following the Primal Blueprint lifestyle for over a year and have never felt better…it’s a meat/vegetable/nuts-based lifestyle with very few refined carbs, no wheat or flour. Never felt or looked better at 43!

  15. angiefaulkner says:

SO interesting about our bodies not having a mechanism for stopping us from eating too many carbs. It totally makes sense! I’m wowed again!!

  16. kayrayz says:

    love this!!!

  17. Elly3000 says:

Wayne, I urge you to read “Why We Get Fat and What We Can Do About It” by Gary Taubes. I know that you will, as I did, find it fascinating and informative. Truly.

  18. xxdiogenescynicxx says:

I know this has absolutely nothing to do with the video but you have amazing eye brows.

  19. butovas says:

you should make more such videos…what you said totally makes sense for me…

  20. megascrapbook says:

i am taking health in college and your 10 min video made WAY more sense then a week in my class. I know you left the training and nutrition field however i think you would make an excellent teacher.

  21. 07Janina07 says:

You know, this was the best talk I heard about nutrition and dieting. It was so interesting to hear that what really bites is sugar and carbs. I learn a lot, thank you,

  22. shannon2005100 says:

This is a great video, very informative and accurate. The only thing I would suggest is giving an example of what 125-150 grams of carbohydrate is, like 2 pieces of whole grain toast and a 1/2 cup pasta, for example. Numbers can throw people off, we don’t understand grams and kilo calories, food examples make more sense when paired with the numbers. You obviously care about people, and that makes you very endearing, thanks!

  23. vulcanellaxo says:

Great video! This is all the stuff my trainer is telling us to do and you explained it so well.

Please do more of these videos, or even a channel dedicated to it :)

  24. LesLeeXoXo says:

I completely agree with everything you said. I am definitely gonna start thinking more likethis.

  25. noshills says:

Thank you for letting people know more about nutrition! Though I disagree about butter, I absolutely hate it. I just use olive oil.

  26. BriannnnaDiannnna says:

    I have a question!
I havn’t eaten any fast food in over a year, along with drinking soda and taking in high fructose corn syrup/corn starch. I still weigh the same amount of weight that I did a year before I switched to healthier foods. Why is this?

  27. FletcherHabit says:

eating and drinking are essentially the same. Just as peeing and pooing are essentially the same

  28. DietSolve says:

Wow! Thanks for the great ideas. I think they will go very well with the program I’m using through the reallifeforhealth website. Their system is really easy to use and it does everything. They have 1000′s of different recipes to choose from and they help you build a fitness and nutrition plan that suits your goals. I’m happy that there’s no fad diets, pills, or required supplements. I’m really impressed with it, especially since they offer a free trial.

my weight is 65 kgs and my height is 5.3.. i want to lose wait ..plzz help me…give me some tips.

  44. dietsformen says:

Eat spicy foods, chilies, and curries

Have you ever eaten a spicy meal and felt your body break out in a sweat? The capsaicin in many hot peppers and other spices literally fire up your metabolism due to the “fire” it creates inside your body. Some studies have said that there is a 50% increase in metabolism after eating a spicy meal that contains capsaicin. So you may want to keep a bottle of hot sauce on your table and add it to your dishes at meal time.

  45. oOEmanOo says:

to be honest ..i dont really care about my health its the least of my concern because i do eat veggies and fruit all the time but i also eat alot of carbs and sugar soo im pretty healthy …..i just wanna lose weight!

  46. RENEDU2 says:

you can eat all the time …( frutis and vegetables that is..)

  47. Santello22 says:

Wait, Tea is bad for me? I drink it almost none stop. Black no sugar etc…
    Really that stuff bad?

  48. FlypaperGirl says:

@Ivyzord mint tea – has calming effect and bring blood pressure down,if you go through homeopatic treatment – the efeect can be smaller if you drink mint tea, I like rose tea – good for me, but there is always a drink for you, just give the thought what you want to achieve drinking tea – it is a medcine

  49. FlypaperGirl says:

@Ivyzord hybiscus tea is a bad thing when you have low blood pressure ( belive me – I slept for 13 hours a day, when I used to drink eat) , in fact it is a t ricky tea, when it is hot is tp bring the pressure up, when cold – down, but the line between hot and cold is a bit tricky to find, so I do not take risk

  50. FlypaperGirl says:

@Ivyzord they do have calories, but it is like spinach – it is not like there is a lot of calories in it and tea is like spinach broth in a way , and in a way tea is a good thing, but too much of is not a good thing , green and black tea have cafeine in them and thez can make the absobtion of tiamin and iron worse (so if you are having anemia – tea is a bad idea) ,
